The Æffect were a band from Gainesville, Florida. Formed in 1999, they released their debut EP A Short Dream on Fueled By Ramen Records in 2000. The EP was recorded at Flying Blanket Studios in Tucson, Arizona with Bob Hoag who had also manned the controls for label-mates The Impossibles and Recover.
