The Allman Brothers Band's 1973 Concert History

The Allman Brothers Band was a Southern rock band formed in 1969 by brother Duane and Greg Allman alongside Dickey Betts, Berry Oakley, Butch Trucks, and Jai Johanny "Jaimoe" Johanson. Their unique blend of blues, jazz, and country and jam-band improvisation was first captured on the live album "At Filmore East" (1971), which catapulted the band to international attention. Tragically, in 1971, Duanne died as the result of a motorcycle accident. The following year, Oakley passed of the same fate. Nonetheless, the band continued performing together until 1976. when it broke up for the first time. Two years later, The Allman Brothers Band reunited, only to break up again in 1982. After playing several one-off show in part or whole in 1986, members reunited permanently in 1989. In 2000, Betts left the band, and in 2014, the band formally disbanded for the final time.
