The Antipoet's 2012 Concert History

Part punk sermon, part pub-philosophy meltdown, The Antipoet have spent the last two decades detonating stages from fringe tents to late-night festival chaos. Think beat poetry hijacked by stand-up, then heckled by its own conscience. Their rhythm is gloriously ramshackle, their rhymes wobble with purpose, and somewhere between the satire and the swearing there’s a strangely tender heart. They don’t so much perform as unravel in iambic pentameter. Absurd, self-aware and oddly life-affirming, The Antipoet prove that poetry isn’t dead — it’s just had three pints and stolen the mic.
