The Believe It Or Nots formed in Lawrence, KS, in the summer of 1995. The band consisted of four members, Michael Angeletti (lead vocals, guitar), Greg Franklin (guitar, backing vocals), Brad Leckron (bass) and John Nguyen (drums). Michael and Brad had attended Lawrence High School together, and enrolled at the University of Kansas in 1994. They met John in Hashinger Hall (a dormitory at KU), and during a Queers show, the flippant decision to play together was hastily made.
