The Cheetahs's 2012 Concert History

From the town of Penicuik, Scotland, near Edinburgh, The Cheetahs were a punky R&B quintet comprising Joe Donkin (vocals), Nasty Phil (harmonica), John Roberts Dobson (guitar), Andrew Allan (bass) and Drop Farmer (drums). Regulars on the late 1970s Edinburgh scene and sometimes sharing bills with Simple Minds and The Valves, they followed in both bands' footsteps by signing to Bruce Findlay's Zoom record label, releasing a three-track single in September 1979 that would turn out to be their only (and Zoom's final) release.
