The Cry Ugly are a Dutch Brit-retro-popband with their musical roots in the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. In their music they’d like to emphasize vocals, melodies, and harmonies. Their songs are about sincere emotions that most people can relate to, such as loneliness, friendship and heartbreak. Influenced by bands like The Beatles and The Kinks, but also by modern day bands such as Nirvana and eels. Their style varies from up-tempo harshness to a quiet singer/songwriter-like atmosphere of intimacy.
