The Dirty Lowdown Concert History

The Dirty Lowdown began with brothers Josh “Sunshine” McGill and Nick “Rooster” McGill writing, composing, and perfecting original music in the comfort of their Columbia, SC home in the late 1990s. The two would eventually form a group with some friends in high school, playing parties, school functions, and shows at West Columbia’s New Brookland Tavern. When the lead guitar player suddenly quit the band one night just hours before a gig at the NBT, the brothers asked their uncle, John “Logjammer” McGill if he could fill the spot.
