Based in Glasgow, The Girobabies are on their way up into the forefront of the music scene, gaining celebrity fans such as Rhys Ifans along the way.The Girobabies came about after lead vocalist Mark McGhee and his friend found themselves suddenly in-between jobs. They decided to start a band that reflected their employment status. (Hence how they got their name The Girobabies, as the definition of the word Giro is ‘a check given by the British government to someone who is unemployed.
