The Grass Cats are a band created in 1997 and based out of the Raliegh, NC area. Members have varied over the past years. In 2002 they had a number one single, "Bluegrass Man", and in 2004 their album "Desperate Times" made it to the bluegrass top 10 charts. The current line up is Russel Johnson on mandolin, Tim Woodall on banjo, Chris "Fiddleboy" Hill obviously on the fiddle, Steven Martin on the guitar, and their newest addition Lloyd Herring.
