The Great Unraveling Concert History

The GREAT UNRAVELING was formed nine months after the demise of Universal Order of Armageddon in 1995 by bassist Anthony Scott Malat, guitarist/vocalist Tonie Joy, and drummer Randy Davis. While in some ways carrying on aspects of U.O.A.'s futuristic, "beyond" hardcore sound, a distinctive "power trio-esque" sound developed out of the GREAT UNRAVELING, delving into odd, yet driving time signatures, spearheaded by the bass playing of Anthony Malat (now in Love Life), somewhere between Yes's Chris Squire and The Clash's Paul Simonon.
