The Language is een alt. country formatie uit Amsterdam. De band bestaat uit singer/songwriters Maarten van der Kamp en Chris Kok, met Koen van der Kroef op drums en Willem van Willigen op toetsen. Hun eerste ep is in juli 2008 in eigen beheer uitgebracht. Deze zal binnenkort met een aantal optredens worden gepromoot. De cd is via de website te koop en gratis te downloaden in mp3 formaat. Een tweede cd is reeds in de maak.
