The Michael Character, a folk-punk artist from outside Boston, is currently just one member--songwriter, guitar player, and singer James Ikeda. In the past, he had the help of a full band. Together they recorded an ep in 2013. Since then The Michael Character has released two ep's, a split with Lawn Care, and an album titled Wheelie. The EP Do Your Work was featured on Reddit's folk-punk board as the release of the month back when it was released in 2015.
