The Other White Meat were formed in early 2005 by Aaron Kay (lead guitar) and Riley Fields (lead vocals/guitar). Later to join the band were Ian Walton (drums/vocals) and Kyle Kee (bass guitar). Originally christened "The Suburban Situation," the foursome came together with one common goal in mind: to play at prom. This was soon accomplished with very limited success. Months later, The Suburban Situation played again at the Owen Valley High School football field under the new name "The Other White Meat.
