The Plantains Concert History

The Plaintains are the multimedia performance duo of NickLcat (Nick Hallett - from Stamford Hill, where he acquired his nickname) and Mitgang Bevilacqua (Ray Sweeten - from a small town in the Italian Alps). The two met at London's Chelsea School of Art in the 1990s. Conceiving an electronics-enhanced performance outfit, the two found success in their first year at school. Along with classmate Joel Hamburger (an exchange student from Oberlin College in Ohio), they produced "Coed Naked Synthpop," their debut EP.
