The Suzan is a pop-rock band from Tokyo, Japan. Consisting of sisters Rie (keyboards and vocals) and Saori (guitar and vocals), along with friends Ikue (bass) and Nico (drums), there sound as been variously described as riot-grrl, pop and punk, and also encorporates elements of jazz, soul, surf and dance music. Their most recent album, "Golden Week for the Poco Poco Beat", was produced by Björn Yttling (of Peter Bjorn and John) and released in the U.
