The Up Concert History

Little brother band of the MC5, the Up were a tough, blue-collar crew out of Ann Arbor, Michigan, formed in 1967, kicking out raw, distorted proto-punk freakout jams. The Up lived together with the MC5 for a period in the late-60's at the Hill Street commune in Ann Arbor, where they indulged in drugs, sex, and rock 'n roll, and became politically active with the Fifth Estate and White Panther Party.
