Third Bike Wheel est né à la fin de 1999 de l'union de trois personnes, David Noury, Steeve Fournier et Frédéric Payeur respectivement bassiste, batteur et guitariste/chanteur. Le trio commence à jouer (massacrer) des " covers " de Reset, NOFX, Pennywise, Millencolin et plusieurs autres mais ils composent aussi leur propre matériel. De là naissent les No title song, Allison, Kill the president, KKK, The only way, Mr. Freeze et compagnie qui se retrouvent, pour la plupart, sur le premier album intitulé " Consolation prize ".
