Third World Empire originated in the summer of 2007. All the original members of the band attended the same apprenticeship program and were brought together by lead guitarist Chad Lewis and bass player Michael Wims. With a band assembled and using Chad’s previously written songs, the group was able to start playing shows as Alchemist. By the summer of 2008 the singer of the group took a different path. This brought Sam Aries (vocals/rhythm guitar) into the group.
