Tim Booth was born on 4 February 1960 in Bradford, Yorkshire, England, and attended Shrewsbury School. He is a singer, dancer, and actor best known as the lead singer from the band James. He recorded an album with film composer Angelo Badalamenti, entitled Booth and the Bad Angel, in 1996. After leaving James in 2001, he taught dance lessons and furthered his acting career.
