Treadmill was an emo band that was founded in Minden, Germany, in 1995. The band would subsequently relocate entirely into a shared apartment in Berlin-Kreuzberg, and remained united with the same lineup until they would disband in 2000. They primarily combined melodic to oblique vocals with emotional and yet rhythmic guitar work - paired with elaborate and therefore sometimes not quite catchy arrangements. The lyrics mostly convey a positive mood, yet include some clear political statements that are mostly thoughtful and very profound.
