Tru Thoughts Recordings is an independent Brighton based record label featuring artistis of nu-jazz, funk, soul and downtempo genres. Its experimental and alternative reputation has brought together verstile artists from around the world producing quality independent music. Tru Thoughts was found by Robert Luis and Paul Jonas in 1999 and continues to be highly regonized in the music industry through winning awards such as Gilles Peterson Worldwide Awards in 2005 as label of the year.
