San Diego/Seattle bar band weaned on '70s rock and drunk on the Replacements. To their detriment, UJBOD did not have the requisite mope factor favored by the earnest grungies. Too bad. Great live band, huge guitar sound, kind of a bridge between Mats/Soul Asylum and Slobberbone/Grand Champeen. Their albums are pretty good, but a live recording at their best and loudest remains the Holy Grail.
