Since arriving in Nashville, Tn. in 1981 Verlon has been a professional songwriter with songs recorded by Guy Clark, Jimmy Buffett and Alan Jackson, Kenny Rogers, Trisha Yearwood, Suzy Bogguss, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Dierks Bentley, Sam Bush, Del McCoury and others.
