Vio-Lence (or "Vio-lence") is often referred to as one of the "Big Six of Bay Area thrash metal" alongside Exodus, Testament, Death Angel, Lååz Rockit, and Forbidden. Formed in 1985, Vio-Lence released three studio albums before disbanding in 1994. The band reunited for occasional live performances in 2001 but disbanded a second time by 2003. In 2019, Vio-Lence reunited for the second time releasing the EP "Let the World Burn" in March 2022.
