Violent J Concert History

Violent J (born Joseph Frank Bruce, April 28, 1972, in Detroit, Michigan) is a seminal figure in horrorcore, best known as one half of the trailblazing duo, Insane Clown Posse (ICP). Along with Shaggy 2 Dope, their concoction of hardcore hip-hop and horror-themed narratives has created a unique subgenre in the music industry. Violent J's solo career took off in 1990 with the release of his debut EP, "Enter the Ghetto Zone". His second EP, "Wizard of the Hood" (2003), solidified his solo presence, peaking at number 89 on the US Billboard 200 chart. Further success came with his first solo studio album, "The Shining" (2009), which peaked at 48 and became his highest-charting solo album to date. He released his third EP "Brother!" in 2018 and continued his artistic evolution with his second studio album, "Bloody Sunday" (2023), balancing his typical darkness with introspective lyricism. Also in 2023, he colloborated with Esham and Ouija Mac as part of the "3 Headed Monster" trio.
