Wham!'s 1986 Concert History

Wham! was a renowned pop duo that captured the essence of the 1980s with its infectious melodies and energetic performances. Formed in 1981, the band consisted of George Michael as the lead singer and Andrew Ridgeley as the guitarist and backup vocalist. In 1983, the duo released its debut studio album “Fantastic,” which peaked at number in the UK. Wham!'s sophomore album “Make It Big” (1984) was their most commercially successful, peaking at number one in the US, UK, and half a dozen other countries. After releasing its third album, “Music from the Edge of Heaven” (1986), Wham! disbanded. Following the disbandment, Michael became one of the best-selling artists in history with over 100 million albums sold worldwide while Ridgeley focused on other ventures, including racing and philanthropy. Some of Wham!’s most popular songs include "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go," "Last Christmas," "Everything She Wants," Freedom, “I’m Your Man,” and the iconic ballad "Careless Whisper."
