Writz's 1980 Concert History

Formed out folk rock band Fish Co in 1978, Writz was Steve Fairnie (deceased 1993) and Bev Sage on vocals and stage romps, Steve Rowles vocals/on guitar, Nick Battle (ex After The Fire) on bass, Arry Axel on drums and Jules Hardwick on lead guitar. They had huge success on the pub and club scene with their highly visual act. They only had minor recording hits with single 'Night Nurse' in 1979'. Changed their name to Famous Names in 1980 and released singles 'Holiday Romance' and later 'Venetian Blind.
