He is a musician's delight, the embellishments, variations, composition. separation of melodic registers, high, low, with rhythmic string playing...how do you explain the sophistication of a jazz artist enjoying the chance to reflect his joy and creativity ? In the Jango tradition...without the american loss of melodic character. I assume he's familiar with the gypsy traditions...just a great musician.
