The Capitol Steps are a political satire musical comedy group based in Washington, D.C. They also have a touring company that plays across the U.S. and has appeared on PBS and public radio. The Capitol Steps were formed in 1981 and have since released approximately thirty albums. The group was created by Republican Congressional staffers, though most current employees are professional singers and songwriters.
