With 2 Boston Music Award Nominations (Best Local Female Vocalist & Best Local New Act); high profile shows opening for the likes of the John Doe (X) and Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings; 4 separate month-long residencies; and a 2-week tour of Italy under her belt, Gillis has certainly been living up to the task.
