Starter Car from London, United Kingdom, deliver indie rock with bright, country-infused twanging guitars. The band was established by vocalist Oisean Burnett, who moved down to London from Scotland, seeking new musical opportunities and inspiration. He formed friendships that yielded his new band, influenced by the alt-country and indie rock of the likes of Wilco and MJ Lenderman. Debut single, 'Throwing Down', was released in March 2026, with debut full-length Afterlight set for an August 2026 release.
