Six Feet Under is an American death metal band from Tampa, Florida, formed in 1993. The band currently consists of vocalist Chris Barnes, bassist Jeff Hughell, drummer Marco Pitruzzella, and guitarists Ray Suhy and Jack Owen. It was originally formed as a side project by Barnes and guitarist Allen West of Obituary, but became a full-time project after Barnes left Cannibal Corpse in 1995. Six Feet Under has released fourteen studio albums and is recognized by Nielsen SoundScan as one of the best-selling death metal acts in the United States.
