The Shadowclub was formed in October 2007 by its 3 founding members Jacques Moolman, Alex Hing, and Isaac Klawansky. Alex left the band in early 2009 and was subsequently replaced by long-time friend Liale Francis. Liale left in 2009 and was replaced by Louis Roux. The band is based in Johannesburg, South Africa. The songs they create are a blend of blues, punk, soul, and old school rock 'n' roll, a mixture that was born from the members eclectic playing styles and musical influences.
