The band formed in the spring of 2022 when guitarist Chappy Hull had just moved to Los Angeles and needed a place to store his Crate 2×12. Serendipitously, he met bassist Andrew Morrill and drummer Kyle Bray at a show, offering to let him stash the amp at their practice space.
