Disturbed is an American heavy metal band, formed in 1994 in Chicago, Illinois by David Draiman (vocals), Dan Donegan (guitar), Mike Wengren (drums), and Steve "Fuzz" Kmak (bass). The band released its debut album "The Sickness" in 2000. It included the singles "Stupify" and "Down with the Sickness," both considered nu-metal classics. Its success with the release of four consecutive number-one albums in the US: "Believe" (2002), featuring the hit single "Prayer," "Ten Thousand Fists" (2005), which produced popular tracks like "Stricken" and a cover of Genesis’s "Land of Confusion," "Indestructible" (2008), and "Asylum" (2010). After a four hiatus beginning in 2011, Disturbed returned in 2015 and released its fifth consecutive number-one hit album,"Immortalized" (2015), which featured a haunting cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence.” The band has since released two more albums: "Evolution" (2018) and “Divisive” (2022).
