Keep It Up and I Love Rock n Roll Tours ZZ Top had played Pershing on April 2nd of that year. I had a ticket, but had a fever that day and couldn't go. It was 80 degrees on that Friday and everyone broke out the shorts, sandals, flip flops, and tank tops. When they went in for the show, it was still in the 70's, but when they came out, it was blizzarding. Damn Nebraska weather anyhow. ZZ Top established the attendance record that night for Pershing Auditorium with 9100+ fans attending. In November when Loverboy came to town, the attendance record was broke by 1 person. So if I had gone to ZZ Top in April of 1982, it would have been a tie for most fans in there.
