additional comment: people hated Kris Kristofferson's set....he sang out of tune....he was probably drunk by the way he spoke in between songs.....he really sucked!!!

So, this was the first time Buffalo Springfield had played together since their break-up in 1968...it was historic, but the chemistry just wasn't there! Also, a strange thing occurred during Billy Idol's set...all the SF Giants fans were checking the live score of the Giants/ Phillies game in high hopes of the Giants going to their first World Series in 50 years.....then, it happened....the Giants beat the Phillies...everyone erupted in screams at Shoreline and Billy Idol thought we were just showing exaggerated appreciation for his songs.....Giants went on to win the World Series and 2 more after that in five years!
