Although Isabella Strange was formed in the midst of lockdown, their visceral post-punk sound is rooted in their experience as live musicians, having played together for 5 years in various projects. Heavily inspired by the music of PJ Harvey and punk traditions such as riot girl, no wave and grunge, Isabella Strange have a distinctly retro sound, blended with contemporary indie rock and alternative pop influences.
