DallasWizard's Concert Archive

Mark attended his first concert at age 12 at Cobo Arena. After witnessing Alice Cooper perform in 1969, he was immediately mesmerized with the theatrics and music of a live concert performance.

The Moody Blues was a progressive psychedelic-rock band formed in England in 1964. After a few lineup shifts, the official lineup of Graeme Edge, Ray Thomas, Mike Pinder, Justin Hayward, and John Lodge was solidified in 1966. Pinder left in 1978 and was replaced several times while Ray Thomas departed in 2002 and was replaced by Norda Mullen who remained with the band until 2018. That year, the band broke up after 54 continuous years together. Following the band's break up, many of the members began to pass away, including Thomas in 2018, Edge in 2021, and Lodge in 2025. The Moody Blues are well-remembered as an influence on the evolution of progressive and psychedelic rock throughout the 1960s and 70s, having earned inductions into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
