Green Day is a punk rock band formed in 1987 in East Bay, California. Its members include lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool. Green Day's seventh studio album "American Idiot" (2004) is often considered the band's second breakthrough with hits like "Holiday," Boulevard of Broken Dreams," "Jesus of Suburbia," and "Wake Me Up When September Ends."
