Romeo Santos (born Anthony Santos, July 21, 1981, in The Bronx, New York City) is a singer-songwriter, composer, and record producer, widely recognized for his influence on the bachata and Latin pop/R&B genres. In 1994, he co-founded the bachta group Aventura, one of the most influential Latin groups in history. Santos departed Aventura in 2011 to pursue a solo career, releasing his debut album "Formula, Vol. 1" in May of that year. It was his first of four consecutive albums to top the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. The other three include "Formula, Vol. 2" (2014), "Golden" (2017), and "Utopía" (2019). He released his fifth studio album, "Formula, Vol. 3," in 2022.
