Tyson Todd Meade is best known as the singer and principal songwriter for Defenestration and the Chainsaw Kittens. Though he is known primarily for his distinctive voice and uniquely baroque take on pop songwriting, Meade's creative career has also included the roles of rock critic, painter, and disc jockey. Born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Meade currently resides in Shanghai, People's Republic of China, where he teaches English.
