Blues guitarist, Roger "Hurricane" Wilson was born on July 27, 1953 in Newark, New Jersey. When he was a year old, his parents moved to a little town on the Jersey shore, in search of a life other than in the city. Life there was typical for a young family in the early 50's. There are memories of Elvis singing "Love Me Tender", and Tennessee Ernie Ford singing "Sixteen Tons" ringing from radios and turntables everywhere-melodies that would haunt him forever.
