Embodyment was an American Christian metal band formed in Arlington, Texas in the early 1990s. Originally starting under the name Supplication, the group began as a brutal death metal act before evolving into one of the earliest bands associated with deathcore on their 1998 debut album Embrace the Eternal. After Embrace the Eternal, the band underwent a major stylistic shift. Vocalist Kris McCaddon left the group, and with the addition of new singer Sean Corbray, Embodyment moved away from their old sound almost entirely.
