“Tired-eyed and weary from self-inflicted ballroom punches. With a fake smile to the street.” From the cold and angular streets of Toronto comes TORRENT, an art-rock and post-punk band. Using the despondent tone of post-punk soaked in the acid bath of eclectic samples and rhythms, TORRENT seeks to capture the fear, anxiety, anger, and paradoxes of life in the digital age. Formed in April 2023, the band has gone from performing in small DIY spaces to now entering a partnership with Paper Bag Records.
