Nick Stockman (lead vocals, guitar) met Richard Kirkland (bass, vocals) busking on the London Underground in 1986 and with the addition of Andy Shelley (guitar, vocals) and drummer Jeff Brunt became The Wood Children. After recording a BBC Radio 1 session for the Janice Long Show, Paul Wigens replaced Jeff on drums. The wood children made their appearance in late eighties/early nineties in North London.
