In 2001, Christopher Stapleton began his music career as a songwriter, penning songs for country music stars like Patty Loveless, Trace Adkins, Kenny Chesney, and Tim McGraw. In 2007, he joined The SteelDrivers as the lead singer but left in 2010, forming the short-lived band The Jompson Brothers. Universal Music Group signed Stapleton as a solo artist in 2013, releasing his debut album "Traveller" on May 5, 2015.
