Melodic, passionate, and powerful, Rival City Heights are a contemporary rock band based in Detroit, Michigan. Rival City Heights were formed in 2014 by vocalist Jeff Gutt. Gutt was a veteran of the nu metal band Dry Cell, who released an album for Warner Bros. in 2002. Gutt also worked with the groups Acrylic and the Band with No Name, as well as a cover band called Punch. (Gutt recorded an album with the Band with No Name, though it was eventually issued as a Jeff Gutt solo project, Humanity.
