Avenged Sevenfold, often abbreviated as A7X, is a renowned heavy metal band originating from Huntington Beach, California. It was formed in 1999 with lead singer M. Shadows, guitarist Zacky Vengeance, and drummer The Rev being the only stable members of the original line-up. Johnny Christ joined as a permanent bassist in 2005 with Brookers Wakerman ultimately replacing The Rev, after his untimely death in 2009.
