James Haynes has 1 David Allan Coe concert.

David Allan Coe (September 6, 1939 – April 29, 2026) was a singer-songwriter who became one of the central figures of the outlaw country music genre. During his youth and young adulthood, he spent time in several reform schools and correctional facilities, notably the Ohio Penitentiary where he corresponded with Screamin' Jay Hawkins, who encouraged him to begin writing his songs. In 1970, Coe released his debut album "Penitentiary Blues", which was allegedly written while serving time in prison. While generally considered a blues album, his future works would shift toward country, and he'd eventually become known as a forerunner of the outlaw country music scene. David Allan Coe passed away on April 29, 2026 in an intensive care unit.
